Recently, Reddit’s interim CEO Ellen Pao banned 5 controversial subreddits, including r/fatpeoplehate, which brought all the fat-haters together for body-shaming sessions. Now, users are fleeing the site to find other forums that allow uncensored speech. But what about the other more offensive subreddits? Here are 7 subreddits are wildly more hateful than fat-shaming.
1. CuteFemaleCorpses
Because fat-shaming is more disturbing than necrophilia. Good call, Ellen. The subreddit has nearly 2000 subscribers, and the homepage is not safe for work. So if you’re not dwelling in your parents’ basement, I suggest not researching this one any further.
2. burningkids
This subreddit’s homepage greets subscribers with the message, “Try to avoid smiling children. They should be sad, not happy the way they are.” The page is filled with gruesome photos of children from all over the world, severely burned. If that’s not worse than calling some fat guy “porky,” I don’t know what’s wrong with the world.
3. CoonTown
Yeah, the list of racist subreddits is far too long to list here. Some examples would be KKK, niglets, and Apefrica. CoonTown features insanely racist news stories, memes, and photoshopped pictures. The banner across the subreddit’s homepage champions Darren Wilson, the white officer who shot an unarmed black teen in Ferguson, Missouri, and other similar characters as “CoonTown Animal Control.”
4. RapingWomen
Seriously? Hating fat people is worse than rape? As a feminist idol, Ellen’s first move as CEO should have been to ban this subreddit and track the IP addresses of the sick bastards that subscribe to it, and post their pictures to the JusticePorn subreddit.
5. SexWithDogs
“Hi my name is Ellen Pao, the CEO of Reddit. Yeah, we banned fat-shaming, but I decided to keep the SexWithDogs subreddit because trolling fatties is more offensive than bestiality.” That’s what I imagine her saying anyways. There are over 2,000 followers on the forum, and one subscriber even went as far as to draw a troubling graphic for the subreddit’s homepage…use your imagination.
6. SexyAbortions
This disgusting subreddit has pictures and stories of aborted fetuses, early and late-term abortions, and is linked to pornographic subreddits as suggestions. Some users’ posts describe the pictures as “juicy” and “delicious.” There are 1,219 readers on the forum, and that is 1,219 too many for me.
7. beatingwomen2
Originally, there was beatingwomen, and then it was banned about a year ago. Then, beatingwomen2 was created. Some of the top posts include things like “Old favorite, woman gets punched trying to take man’s TV” and “black and blue and red all over ;).”
