4. Ted Cruz
Sen. Ted Cruz is yet another freedom fighter to get a little giddy about. Cruz is the second current presidential candidate that has put his foot down for freedom. The list starts with his 21-hour-long filibuster attempting to defund Obamacare, speaking until past the deadline of the government shutdown.
Our man Cruz also announced himself as a cosponsor of the USA Freedom Act during the fall of last year in order to oppose and help sunset The PATRIOR Act, although Rand Paul thinks the act doesn’t go far enough. And of course, he is a strong proponent of the Second Amendment, sponsoring legislation that weakened interstate trade regulations of firearms. Giggity.
