According to a tweet made by Wikileaks‘ official account, United States sources have told the whistle blower organization that Secretary of State John Kerry asked Ecuador to silence the organization’s editor-in-chief, Julian Assange.
The request, apparently made during a private meeting between Ecuador and Kerry, was made on September 26 in Colombia. Apparently, Sec. Kerry was worried about Assange and the organization publishing the Clinton documents from his negotiations with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).

Could this be related to Ecuador shutting off Assange’s internet access on October 17? Given the fact that Wikileaks has been unearthing numerous emails from Clinton and the chairman of her campaign, John Podesta, it is not a far stretch of the imagination to think that it might have been tied to this.
However, what is in those documents is still to be seen, and at the moment there is more information on this story.
We can confirm Ecuador cut off Assange’s internet access Saturday, 5pm GMT, shortly after publication of Clinton’s Goldman Sachs speechs.
