Tom Hanks applauds WW2 Veterans for storming monument barricades (VIDEO)

Decency and Common Sense Trumps Partisanship

Hollywood superstar Tom Hanks had encouraging words to say for the veterans of World War II who pushed through government barricades to see their memorial. Although he’s been an outspoken supporter of President Obama who caused the shutdown, when asked about the event he said, “Good for the veterans. Good.  Go see it. They – we should all have access to them all the time…How did they — did they assault it with helicopters? Landing craft? Bust through in a jeep?  How did they do it, exactly?” A reporter says: “I think they actually had some help from congressmen.”

“Good,” Hanks said.  “…We should all have access to our national monuments and parks. It’s as simple as that.”
