Come and Take it!
Being a gun owner in America often isn’t easy. Every day those who choose to exercise their constitutional right are confronted with pundits and politicians spreading false information and scare tactics to convince citizens into willingly disarming themselves. However, compared to the state of the country just 25 years ago, our right to bear arms has been flourishing.
As demonstrated in the GIF below, obtaining a firearm was something only a few select citizens in certain states could enjoy in the 80’s. Now, the number of people asserting their second amendment rights is prevalent across the country, and no state is a “no issue” state. While it’s still extremely difficult to obtain a firearm in the Northeast, it’s heartening to see a graphic that so clearly demonstrates the progress we’ve been able to make on at least this front.
