Parents Demand Students Who Failed To Graduate Be Allowed To Wear The Cap & Gown

LAS VEGAS, NV – The parents of students who failed to pass their graduation exams are demanding that their children be allowed to attend the ceremonies and receive “certificates of attendance.” A newly passed law in the state of Nevada bars the handing out of the certificates because it was found that students who received them were less likely to try and actually graduate.

    This is ridiculous! You
fail = No graduation, no cap & gown, no party…PERIOD. To allow
them to have cap & gown & attendance is to downplay the hard work of
those who passed. Maybe the parents should of been more concerned about
    their grades before they failed!

The graduation ceremonies are for graduates… Perhaps they could hold a separate attendance ceremony.

As a resident of Las Vegas to these parents: I’ll be passing out your childs participation award in 30 minutes when my laxative kicks in.
