Male Bartenders Continually Groped By Female Customers, Forced To Change Kilts

Male bartenders at a popular pub and music venue in Inverness, Scotland had been forced to stop wearing their traditional work uniform of a t-shirt and kilt, because female customers continue to grope the men to check and see if they’re “true Scotsmen” beneath the plaid.

The men at the pub, Hootananny, are now swapping their kilts for trousers in order to avoid further sexual harassment.

Kit Fraser, owner of Hootananny, described the acts as “pure sexism.”

“It may seem funny but it is serious too,” Fraser sad. “The women are sticking their hands up their kilts. Can you imagine if I went into a restaurant and stuck my hand up a girl’s skirt? I would be taken to the police station and rightly so. I look after my customers but equally important are my staff. I am not forcing them to do something they don’t want to do. We fellows are very, very aware of sexism. I think the women need to catch up.”

The Libertarian Republic’s own, Austin Petersen, experienced similar encounters at a past job.

“When I was a toy soldier at FAO Schwarz, we were frequently and aggressively groped by tourists, almost exclusively older women,” he said. “Whatever you could do on the outside of a costume, they would try that.”
