Kevin Sorbo promoting new libertarian movie!

Rebel filmmakers seeking distribution for new movie get a leg up from Hercules, the Legendary Sorbo

by J. Neil Schulman

When in July 2010 international superstar Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, The Legendary Journeys) agreed both to be an executive producer and to take the role of Nobel-laureate economist Dr. Martin Vreeland, in an indie movie production based on my screen adaptation of my 1979 novel, the project was not yet financed and we had no idea whether it would ever be produced.

Screen Shot 2013-09-13 at 3.25.48 PMDespite cautions from his management that doing a limited budget indie was not a smart career move, Kevin agreed because the script projected what Kevin describes as a “common sense” view of the impending financial crisis of U.S. government overspending leading to a collapse of a century of world economic dominance. Due to the vision of Liberty Coin Service owner, Patrick A. Heller, who financed the production, Alongside Night is now a finished movie that in summer 2013 gained popular support in a series of sneak-peak screenings, and is now going out into the world via film-fesival submissions and then theatrical release.

Today Kevin Sorbo tweeted and posted on his official Facebook the new Alongside Night Official Teaser Trailer. Festivals and Distributors — with the finished movie, a new movie tie-in edition of the novel a new trade-paperback available on Amazon and as a $2.99 Kindle edition, plus forthcoming graphic novel and audiobook tie-ins being released later this year, Alongside Night is ready for the big time!
