A new video from a Russian feminist organization is circulating which equates men hitting a vending machine to domestic violence. The video starts with declaring that every seventh murder on the planet happens between families and “in most cases it’s all men’s fault.”
All men’s fault? How does that figure when it comes to domestic violence, women are half of the problem?
They then go on to ask “how hard is it to drive a man wild?” The video shows men hitting a vending machine that takes their money and refuses to dispense their candy. Ostensibly the message is that men will immediately fly into a rage… if you steal their money. Well yeah, I guess that’s true. If someone steals your cash, it’s probably pretty easy to go into a rage, but how that relates to domestic violence is tenuous at best.
And I’m confused, are feminists claiming women are like vending machines, or thieves? Because either seems insulting at best. Still, why should we expect reasoned opinions from a collectivist philosophy made up of bullies and thought police?
