Paul calls Snowden “courageous” for revealing Fourth Amendment violations.

Former Congressman Ron Paul has launched a petition asking for clemency for NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, announcing the project in a Ron Paul Channel video.
“By signing this petition you are telling the U.S. government that Mr. Snowden deserves to come home without the fear of persecution or imprisonment,” Paul explains. The petition asks that Snowden be allowed to return to the United States before his Russian asylum expires in July.
The petition is well-timed. Ron Paul’s son, Senator Rand Paul – also a strong critic of the NSA – recently launched a massive class action lawsuit against the NSA, arguing that its sweeping surveillance program violates the Fourth Amendment.
