What happens when bad science meets moral panic?
In the 1980’s government officials warned the US about an approaching epidemic of “crack babies” that would plague us for generations. That never happened, but it didn’t stop the government from cracking down on the war on drugs and incarcerating citizens at an unbelievable rate.
