Get naked? Get tazed!

A video has emerged showing officers tazing a concert goer who was streaking at an electronic music festival. Police attempted to restrain him, but when they were unable to, they began tazing the naked man, who was clearly unarmed.

“They brutally took him down, tackled him into a ditch and repeatedly tasered him,” former Sonic Bloom spokeswoman and witness Ami Heinrich told The Denver Post. “I believe they may have overreacted and detained the man in a way that could be considered excessive force.”

The man was taken away in a stretcher as the crowd grew angrier and angrier at the officers. Excessive force investigations are being filed and the officers are facing intense scrutiny about their arrest tactics. Concerned citizens are asking for people to contact the local sheriff’s department to complain and posting the following information:

The video is incredible because it shows the reaction from the crowd who seemed likely to intervene to stop the electric torture of a clearly harmless, unarmed man who needed some underwear more than a cattle prod. It reminds this editor of a time when police at a soccer game in South America detained a man running across the field. When the man had clearly been restrained, the officers began giving him a billy club in the ribs for good measure. Watch the crowd reaction below.
