Want to Avoid That Winter Cold? Have More Sex

Do you get a cold in the winter? Many people battle with the sniffles during the winter months, but it turns out having more sex could be the answer.

It turns out people who have sex at least 1-2 times a week are better at fighting off colds!

The New York Post writes:

A 2009 study at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania found that people who have sex once or twice a week have 30 percent higher levels of cold-fighting immunoglobulin A (IgA) than those who had sex more or less frequently. The researchers suggested that once or twice a week was indicative of a happy and healthy relationship, which has been shown to boost the immune system.

This sounds surprising, but it shouldn’t be. The health effects of an active sex life have been long documented. They include healthier brain function, heart health, hormonal balance, better blood pressure, and healthier lungs and muscles.

So, don’t forget to take your vitamins and have lots of sex!
