How many times have free market advocates been told that if we want to live somewhere where the government will leave us alone we should move to Somalia? Never mind that Somalia is actually a former Soviet state that was ruined by socialism; lovers of big government tell us this is place tailor-made for our beliefs.
Here’s a more reasonable suggestion:
Since America is founded on the principles of limited government and individual freedom, if you wish to live somewhere where government takes care of your every need and nothing is more important than the collective; then why don’t you move?
Might I suggest Venezuela, a resource rich nation with a strong agricultural industry. Surely with such abundance, if there were ever a country that could make socialism work, it’s Venezuela. Unfortunately for our leftist friends, it seems utopia comes with $700 boxes of condoms, $170 cheeseburgers, severe energy shortages, confiscatory taxation, and hyperinflation which has left residents combing through the trash to try and find food.

Yes, this is democratic socialism at its finest! The largest oil producing nation in the world has an energy shortage. A nation teaming with fertile land has no food.
