Legalize it! Don’t criticize it! -Peter Tosh

Florida residents may soon be able to Choom like Barack Obama! An amendment on next year’s ballot could legalize medical marijuana 😉 in Florida.

Dude, that’s freaking awesome, right?

Well, there’s a catch, of course. Economists looking at the measure are trying to avoid “pot tourism”. They don’t want any stinking foreigners coming in and snatching up their stash. Come on FL! Share the love!

One economist studying the issue said:

“…I think you’re looking at, under normal conditions, that 1785 to 425450 that we were talking about as being a good range. Now what we’ve asked is for additional information related to medical tourism, you know, would that do something unusual….”

Buzzkill!

Damn the Man! Oh well, it’s a step towards individual freedom right? The amendment would require that the medical facility also be the sole source of growing it. But we expect, like the Healthcare.gov failure, they’ll start bringing in help from the more efficient private market soon anyway.

Democracy, in this case (sadly), shall overcome our corrupted state officials when this gets put to the general public next November.
