A man of impeccable credentials: That is how the President of the United States described his replacement for James Comey as the head of the FBI.

Donald Trump made the announcement on Wednesday morning that he would be nominating Christopher Wray as the new director of the FBI.

CBS describes Wray as:

A graduate of Yale University and Yale Law School.

He was nominated by President George W. Bush as Assistant AttorneyGeneral in charge of the Criminal Division and served in that position until 2005.

After serving in the Department of Justice, Wray returned to private practice, specializing in white collar and internal investigations.

Wray helped lead the department’s efforts to address corporate fraud scandals and served on the President’s Corporate Fraud Task Force, overseeing the Enron Task Force as part of his role.

Wray’s selection to the position comes just one day before Comey is to give his highly anticipated testimony on Russia’s involvement into the 2016 election to the Senate Intelligence committee.
