Tom Delay Is Back! And He’s On A Mission From God! (VIDEO)
Praise The Lord And God Bless Ted Cruz!
Former U.S. House Majority Leader Rep. Tom DeLay (R-TX) spoke at a tea party rally last week to announce his return to politics. He told the gatherers that he was contacted by God to lead a “Constitutional revival,” and he’s planning on working from behind the scenes. [contextly_sidebar id=”fd4aafc183fbd26841bfcc716c7c2880″]
Delay discussed how his faith in God was essential to dealing with being brought up on criminal charges of racketeering and money-laundering. His money-laundering conviction was overturned in September. He referred to the period as his “time in the wilderness.”
“It’s really a happy day for me, and I just thank the Lord for carrying me through all of this and it really drove my detractors crazy because I had the joy of Jesus in me and they didn’t understand it,” said DeLay.
“He believes that he is being led to encourage, or promote, or participate in sort of a new a new (sic) revolution for the country — not armed battles and muskets and all that stuff, but in terms of ideals,” said Barry Schlech, vice-chairman for the Texas Patriots PAC.
Tea Party republicans have taken a bruising in the polls lately, but Delay doesn’t care. He says Ted Cruz (R-TX) is a hero. In a recent interview with CNN he said, “When you’re in a fight, people just don’t like the fight, so they’re going to respond negatively.
He added, “It’s who wins and comes out of the fight that has long-lasting effects. And I got to tell you right now, out here in the real world, outside of New York and Washington, D.C., these people think Ted Cruz is a hero. They think that those Republicans in the House are heroes. And they think that Obama is destroying this country.”
He must be desperate for taxpayer money…
Thanks, Mr. Delay, but we got it from here. Uh, yeah.
