I will admit to often starting my week by googling the search term, “Florida Man.” The consistent flow of bizarre headlines baffles me every time. Will there ever be a day without a wild “Florida Man” headline? Well, this story includes a Florida man, but we’re going to focus on the Florida woman. That’s all this Tampa couple ever wanted anyways.
Lindsey and Jonathan Tuttle say that they hope “Fred” the alligator will be an “excellent brother” to their child. Apparently, they read the “Florida Man” headlines as well, and even let them become the inspiration behind the photoshoot. Lindsey Tuttle told WTSB 10 News,
“I wanted a picture different than your run of the mill maternity photos of women in the forest being goddesses,” She continues, “’Florida Man’ has always cracked up my husband and I (both native Floridians), so we decided to make me Florida Woman.”
She posted her photo in a Facebook group and received the attention her and her husband were looking for. She was even met with some negative responses, to which she had to say, “I posted my maternity photo in a Florida Memes group and got reported a ton of times for challenging people to fight me naked and on bath salts behind an Arby’s.”
That would have made for another incredible headline. Their baby – now “Florida Man” royalty – is due March 6.
