Two moms filed a police report after a daycare allegedly waxed their children’s eyebrows, according to a report Wednesday.
The Washington State Department of Early Learning is investigating the daycare in Pasco, Wash., after two moms filed a report Monday that their children’s eyebrows were allegedly waxed to remove their unibrows, reported the New York Post. The two moms Alyssa Salgado and Glenda Maria Cruz claimed that when they picked up their children from daycare on Jan. 31., they noticed hair between the eyebrows missing.
“I, like, got a closer look and I saw she was missing her patch of hair because she has a unibrow and she was born like that,” Salgado told WLTX19. Salgado took her two-year-old daughter to a pediatrician Monday. The doctor confirmed that the girl’s eyebrows were waxed in a letter.
“The Boys and Girls Club takes these allegations seriously and will work to support the investigation process,” said Brian Ace, the executive director of the Boys and Girls club, which runs the daycare.
The investigation is expected to take about 30 days. In the meantime, both children were pulled out of the daycare.
