Ted Cruz takes tough questions from Jay Leno (VIDEO)

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared on Jay Leno’s show this weekend to discuss the government shutdown and his future plans for reining in big government. Leno asked great questions about Cruz’s strategy and whether his principles prevent compromise.

Cruz argued that he’s intent on doing the work of the people of Texas, and he has to please his constituents who want him to fight Obamacare. Leno pushed him on the shutdown, questioning whether it was the right strategy. Cruz pushed back and argued that he didn’t want the government to shut down and pinned the blame on President Obama and the Democrats refusing to negotiate or compromise.

Eh, I think Ted Cruz is using the wrong premise against obamacare. Texans don’t want obamacare not because it doesn’t work, we don’t want it because it is immoral to take someone else’s money by force and give it to someone else.

Maybe Jay could be a little more partisan when he invites a republican on his show. Go Conan!!!!

Usually the only people that get on these shows are dems. Obama was on it before.

Geez what a lefty statist pos Leno is. He has Obama on the show and tosses him softballs; no questions about Fast & Furious, nothing about Benghazi. You can literally see his disdain for Ted Cruz through the entire interview and he’s mocking him, trying to trip him up and piss him off. Not a big Cruz fan but I think he handled it well.
