A supercut of liberal journalist Fareed Zakaria’s primetime CNN special on President Obama nicely sums up two hours of fawning footage about him in just 90 seconds.
“He ran an administration that was largely scandal free,” Zakaria says in the TV documentary, supercut by The Washington Free Beacon. “And he did it all the while under a microscope, because he looked different.”
The CNN foreign affairs host and Washington Post columnist heaps adoring line after adoring line on the president he proudly endorsed in 2008. “Obama is an intensely charismatic politician. He and his family occupied the white house with dignity, grace and good humor, and with respect to his personal character and intellect, most of the country believes it was a bet that paid off.”
The special took viewers on a very sympathetic tour of Obama’s presidency, reports The Free Beacon, glossing over difficulties regarding his Obamacare promises and portraying his aggressive executive orders as heroic. “Congress did not act,” the documentary notes. “Obama did.”
“Senator Obama never let voters forget that he had been on the right side of history,” Zakaria added.
The supercut concludes with Zakaria boldly declaring: “Let’s be clear. Donald Trump will lose the election.”
