Jill Stein calls for charges against Hillary Clinton

In the wake of FBI Director James Comey’s announcement that the FBI would not recommend charges to the Justice Department against Hillary Clinton after their investigation into her email scandal, the right, to no surprise, roared with outrage. Angered over such blatant disrespect for the Rule of Law. However, now Hillary is also being closed in on from the left. The criticism is coming from Jill Stein, the presumptive nominee for the Green Party, who reportedly condemned Clinton saying, “All the elements necessary to prove a felony violation were found by the FBI investigation.” She went onto elaborate her position stating:

“Her staff has said Secretary Clinton stated she used her private email system because she did not want her personal emails to become accessible under [Freedom of Information] laws,” she added. “This is damning on two counts — that she intended to disregard the protection of security information, and that she had personal business to conceal.”

The Clinton camp has long been spinning the email scandal, as they have done with Benghazi, as nothing more than a politicized attack by Republican opponents looking to stop her this coming November. Yet, Stein’s call for prosecution throws a wrench in the works of the Clinton political machine.

With condemnation now coming from not only the right but also the left, all claims that frame the attacks on Clinton as pure political maneuvering are neutralized. Now the case put forward that Clinton, due to political connections and influence, is able to walk away in gross disservice to the Rule of Law has begun to further solidify, as figures across the political spectrum come out against her.
