On CNN, Pat Hines, the chairman of the South Carolina League of the South, defended the confederate flag, and suggested that any motive to remove it from the state’s capital grounds would be “cultural genocide.”
Whoops.
In his defense and judging by his neckbeard, it looks like CNN probably found their guest by checking out the Tea Party’s Facebook page and looked for the oldest, whitest member that most frequently overused exclamation points and belonged to 18 secret gun discussion groups, so of course this guy loves his flag.
Hines said the flag is a “memorial to our ancestors,” and that anyone moving to have the flag removed is “moving to do cultural genocide on the Southern men and women.”
