Sorority Girl Predictably Expelled For Wearing Black Face

School officials from a Texas christian university expelled several students involved with a blackface video that circulated throughout social media Monday.

The video features a white female student from Abilene Christian University with black makeup covering her face, reports the New York Daily News.

“I’m a strong black woman,” the girl says before donning a pair of big, red costume lips. The video is captioned “This is why black lives matter exists.”

Several people can be heard giggling in the background. It remains unclear whether if the students themselves shared the video with the public before others started to see it.

A copy of the video made its rounds on Twitter. The students involved have yet to be identified.

The deputy anti-harassment coordinator and dean of students met with the students who participated in the video; the students involved no longer attend the school, according to a statement from the university’s president, Dr. Phil Schubert.

“This has offended me and I am deeply sorry for how it has offended others, and left an inaccurate representation of who we are and what we believe as a Christian university,” Schubert’s statement read. “We must and can do better as we work together to build an inclusive, diverse campus community in which each person is respected and loved.”

Schubert ended the letter by directing students to the university’s anti-harassment policy and contact information for Student Life officials should students have more concerns.

The university did not return The Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
