Sheriff Caught Exposing Himself Runs From Fellow Officer [VIDEO]

A Georgia sheriff caught allegedly exposing himself in a park last week was chased down by a fellow police officer, recently released video reveals.

A police officer arrested DeKlaub County Sheriff Jeffrey Mann Saturday night after he reportedly saw the sheriff expose himself while at a city park , reports Rare. A security camera from a homeowner who lives nearby the park reveals Mann trying to outrun the police officer.

“I allowed the male to get approximately 7 to 10 feet from me before I used my flashlight to shine it on the male. The male immediately fled on foot. I ran behind the male while yelling, ‘Police. Stop!’” the officer explained.

The officer eventually caught up to Mann after a half mile chase; he arrested Mann on charges of indecency and obstruction.

Brad Edmond, the homeowner, called the situation “a joke” and said the sheriff should be removed from office.

“The man is definitely unfit for his office. He has betrayed everyone, including the people who look up to him and respect him. But, what a joke. I didn’t know who he was when he was running, but he definitely was trying to get away from that officer who was chasing him,” he said.

Mann insists the arrest is a misunderstanding and plans to get the charges cleared with the Atlanta Police Department.

“Sheriff Mann will continue to run the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office at the level of excellence it is known for and in keeping with what the citizens of DeKalb County expect and deserve,” a spokesperson with DeKalb said. “He asks that you respect that this is a personal matter, which should have no bearing on the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and its staff.”
