Sheriff: BLM ‘Fueled This Rage Against The American Police Officer’

A Milwaukee County Sheriff gave an interview Sunday where he discussed Black Lives Matter and what he described as their “hateful ideology.”

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke stated in an interview with CNN’s David Lemon that the shooter of multiple Baton Rouge police officers was motivated by anti-police brutality, reports Talking Points Memo.

“My message has been clear from day one two years ago. This anti-cop sentiment from this hateful ideology called Black Lives Matter has fueled this rage against the American police officer. I predicted this two years ago,” Clarke said, “I’ve been watching this for two years. I predicted this.”

Clarke said that the hateful rhetoric in America had unleashed hateful things from inside of people.

“I want to know, with all the black on black violence in the United States of  America — by the way — when the tragedies happened in Louisiana and Minnesota, did you know that 21 black people were murdered across the united states? Was there any reporting on that?” Clarke asked Lemon.

The interview was paused for a little bit as Clarke became a little  heated, saying that he was looking at three dead officers because of Black Lives Matter’s hateful ideology.

Lemon agreed that there could be a narrative that is causing harm against police officers. Clarke argued that there is no data that backs up the idea the police officers are racists, calling it “nonsense.”

“This has fueled and fanned the flames of this anger toward the American police officer,” he said. “There’s only one group in America—one, Don—that truly cares about the lives of black people in the urban ghetto, and it’s the American police officer, who goes out there on a daily basis, to put their lives on the line to protect who? Black people,” Clarke stated.

Clarke will be speaking at the RNC Monday night.
