Sen. Rand Paul: “The last two Presidents could have been in jail for drugs”

Rand Paul Senator Rand Paul expressed his point of view on the drug issue and legalization in an extended interview on Chris Wallace‘s Sunday show. Wallace quizzes Paul on why his filibuster shot him to the top of fame in the Republican Party and around the world. Paul responds on how Americans are yearning for a return to constitutional rights and civil liberties in this country.

Wallace asks Senator Paul about running for President as well as how he would grow the party if he had more of a say in the future of Republican politics. Paul believes a more libertarian-republican approach to modern problems could be a boon to a party struggling to connect with younger voters and minorities. The Kentucky senator is making great strides in advancing liberty by merging constitutionally conservative rhetoric with a blend of libertarian radicalism. Will he be able to bring his fathers radical coalitions into the party to form a broader coalition strong enough to defeat Democrats in the coming elections?

Immigration, drugs, and the future of liberty are discussed in this 13 minute long interview supplied by Mediaite.
