Schools Deploy Gun Sniffing Dogs (VIDEO)

 

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Authorities are deploying gun-sniffing dogs in schools around the Tampa Bay area. [contextly_auto_sidebar id=”KidLLILOrViffWn1Qs05q99vb1IENtBB”]

The dogs, which were acquired through a $24,000 federal grant, can detect firearms and components such as shell casings. They will be used at large events and will patrol each school in the district several times per year.

According to Superintendent Michael Grego, “This is a really proactive and visual way to show that there’s no reason why there should be one gun on campus.”
