Ryan and GOP Prepare to Override President’s Veto of Obamacare Repeal

Paul Ryan believes Republicans can successfully override President Obama’s veto and deliver the death knell on Obamacare. The repeal bill, which kills the individual and employer mandates, landed on the president’s desk on Tuesday.

Obama has claimed that the bill would reverse “significant progress.” But the bill is so horrible that even many Democrats have actually come to oppose it.

Ryan believes that Congress will indeed override Obama’s veto.

“The idea that Obamacare is the law of the land for good is a myth. This law will collapse under its own weight, or it will be repealed. Because all those rules and procedures Senate Democrats have used to block us from doing this? That’s all history,” Ryan said.

“We have now shown that there is a clear path to repealing Obamacare without 60 votes in the Senate.”
