Comedian and Presidential Candidate Bashes Trump and Cruz
[dropcap size=big]I[/dropcap]n a recent interview with libertarian webshow Revolution Report Live, renowned comedian and independent presidential candidate Ron White discussed, among other things, his views on law enforcement, the drug war, and the other candidates. White said he was driven to run after he watched the Republican debates and “didn’t believe a single word that any one of them [were] saying”. While it’s obvious he didn’t care for any of the candidates, White took issue with Donald Trump in particular.
“You look at how qualified these people are. I like Donald [Trump] fine but should he be president of the country? NO! You cannot say the stupidest thing anyone says in the world every week and be president of the United States, you just can’t do it. For example, the wall between Mexico and the United States is the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard in my entire life. Do you have any idea how good the Mexican people are at digging tunnels? Do you know where El Chapo is? No. You don’t. Do you think he went over that wall? He went under that wall.”
Trump wasn’t the only candidate White bashed during the interview. He also weighed in on Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.
“It’s just so corrupt. I don’t get it. Ted Cruz… He’s a gun touting Texan but completely unqualified to run the country. Rubio? A first term Senator from Florida that doesn’t even vote?”
Ron White’s own views include a firm belief in the right to own firearms and a stronger effort towards fighting hard drugs in this country. In order to finance fighting meth, he said, he would end the federal prohibition on Marijuana and recall troops from the middle east.
White also stated at the end of the interview that the first thing he would do as president is, “recover from party [he] had the night before.”
