A Republican California assemblyman accidentally voted for a state budget increase because he was too busy on Facebook.
I wonder if congress has been on their phones for the past decade too?
The distracted assemblyman, Scott Wilk (R-Santa Clarita), was the only Republican to raise his hand in favor of the budget increase. I wonder if he was playing candy crush. Hopefully he was blowing up the Democrats’ notifications with game invitations.
Wilk confirmed that he did vote for the budget in error, because he was on Facebook at the time.
The Assemblyman admitted that he isn’t good at multitasking, but when he realized the mistake, he changed his vote.
My wife is right – I can’t multitask! Accidentally voted for Budget while Facebooking against AB 93. The perils of social media #CABudget

I hope you didn’t tweet that while voting for another budget increase, Wilk. But its California, so it’s not like it matters anyway.
