Report: Steve Bannon Removed from National Security Council

LISTEN TO TLR’S LATEST PODCAST:

Steve Bannon, the former CEO of Breitbart and and current White House chief strategist, was removed from the National Security Council according to a senior White House official, reported The Hill.

Bannon had been placed on the National Security Council in January, which was deemed a controversial move by many in the political spectrum. However, Fox News reported back in February that Trump would “take… under serious consideration” removing Bannon if his newly appointed National Security Adviser Lt. General H.R. McMasters wanted Bannon gone.

The chairman of the Joint  Chiefs of Staff and Director of National Intelligence had their roles reduced due to Bannon’s placement on the NSC. Now, their roles had been restored according to The Hill.
