Shattered, a new tell-all book about the failed 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, is reportedly making the claim that “the Clinton Campaign hatched the Russia narrative 24 hours after her loss to cover for their failure.” A tweet from Deplorable Media stated that the book describes campaign organizers John Podesta and Robby Mook as having come up with the “Russia-blame-game” as a means of deflecting attention away from the innate shortcomings of the campaign itself.

National Review also points out another tactic highlighted in the book: Clinton staffers and supporters alike whinging about Bernie Sanders. In either case, it would seem as if Clinton always preferred pointing the finger rather than taking personal responsibility. While this has always been a suspicion of outside observers, it’s interesting to finally have an account that corroborates it.
