The media has been excoriating Rand Paul for getting a little testy with interviewers, accusing them of mischaracterizing his positions and editorializing while they should be just asking questions. Paul was held to the fire even by Megyn Kelly of Fox News, asking if his temper was going to be a problem for him, and if women were especially going to be bearing the brunt of his anger. But how come when Ronald Reagan angrily snapped during a 1980 Republican debate no one called him to task for it?

And what about this time Reagan told a heckler to “shut up”?
