President Vladimir Putin of Russia gave his endorsement of Donald Trump for US president. He also speculated that the US and Turkey has colluded to down a Russian aircraft on November 25th. The Russian president also made some vulgar insinuations about the US’s relationship with Turkey.

Putin offered high praise for the billionaire businessman-turned-Republican presidential front-runner on Thursday during an annual news conference with reporters.
“He is a bright and talented person without any doubt,” Putin said, adding that Trump is “an outstanding and talented personality.”
And in remarks closely mirroring Trump’s assessment of the campaign, the Russian leader called Trump “the absolute leader of the presidential race,” according to the Russian TASS news agency.
Putin had more praise for Donald Trump, but not before hurling accusations and insults at the US.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was in full conspiracy mode Thursday when asked about Russia’s conflict with Turkey during his annual news conference.
Putin speculated on the possibility of Turkey and the U.S. reaching an agreement to down a Russian aircraft Nov. 25 when it entered Turkish airspace and then let Turkey invade and occupy Iraq while America look the other way.
“If someone in the Turkish leadership has decided to lick the Americans in a certain place, I’m not sure if they did the right thing,” Putin said. “I do not know if the U.S. needed this. I can imagine that certain agreements were reached at some level that they would down a Russian plane, while the U.S. closes its eyes to Turkish troops entering Iraq, and occupying it.”

“We believe that the actions of the Turkish authorities are not an unfriendly, but a hostile act,” Putin said. “They shot down a warplane and our people were killed.”
Putin also said he backs FIFA President Sepp Blatter for the Nobel Peace Prize and Donald Trump for president.
“He’s a very lively man, talented without doubt,” Putin said of Trump.
