Proposed Law Would Force Supreme Court Into ObamaCare Exchanges

By: Laura Meyers

A House Republican on Thursday proposed a bill that would force the Supreme Court justices and their staff to enroll in ObamaCare.

Swift justice tastes so sweet.

Rep. Brian Babin (R-Texas) said that his SCOTUScare Act (haha) would force all nine justices and their employees to participate and pay into the nationwide exchange.

Damn, I love Texans.

“As the Supreme Court continues to ignore the letter of the law, it’s important that these six individuals understand the full impact of their decisions on the American people,” Babin said. “That’s why I introduced the SCOTUScare Act to require the Supreme Court and all of its employees to sign up for ObamaCare.”

His bill is in response to King v. Burwell, when the Supreme Court voted to uphold the subsidies under ObamaCare that are provided by the government to offset the cost of buying insurance.

“By eliminating their exemption from ObamaCare, they will see firsthand what the American people are forced to live with,” Babin said.

I’d make a joke about the justices getting a taste of their own medicine, but that’s only if they can weed through the new lines of bureaucracy at the doctor’s offices.
