Local Police Department to officer: Piss off!

(November 2012) A Piedmont mom was surprised to receive a ticket after an officer spotted her three-year old son urinating on their front lawn. The story attracted national outrage after the news that the cop issued a $2,500 fine for the offense. The prosecutors at the local district attorney’s office reviewed the case and declined to pursue it. The Piedmont city council had reportedly received emails from all over the world complaining about the treatment of an innocent boy urinating on his parents front lawn. The officer, Ken Qualls, was fired for the infraction.
