Playboy Model Body Shames Unsuspecting Nude Woman in Gym Showers

Playmate of the Year snaps photo of woman in LA Fitness showers and shares on Snapchat

In a horrifying mean girl move, 2015 Playmate of the Year Dani Mathers posted a Snapchat photo of an unsuspecting woman, taken in the group showers at the Universal City LA Fitness facility.

Mathers has a social media following of over half a million, many of whom were taken aback by her mean-spirited Snapchat attack. Taking the time to not only snap the photo against gym policy, but adding scathing text on the image and pairing it with her horrified face, the Playmate was quite intentional with her slam of the innocent woman. Dani Mathers quickly removed the image from Snapchat, claiming:

“I just want to acknowledge a photo that I accidentally posted. It was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do. I chose to do what I do for a living because I love the female body and I know body shaming is wrong, that’s not what I’m about and this is not the type of person I am. The photo was taken as part of a personal conversation with a girlfriend and because I am new to Snapchat I didn’t realise I had posted it, and that was a huge mistake. I know I have upset a lot of people out there but please believe me this is not the type of person that I am. I have never done this before and I will never do this again, you have my word.”

Dani’s followers were quite vociferous about her move. While some offered condolences in response to her ‘mistake,’ others were not as forgiving.

Hollie Taylor slammed the Playmate on Twitter: ‘@DaniMathers it’s people like you that make others feel uneasy about changing openly in locker rooms. appalling.’

Priscilla Sanchez tweeted: ‘@DaniMathers that poor woman’s naked body is now circulating the internet when she never intended it to. It’s really heartbreaking.’

Despite Mather’s public apology, it did little to save her skin. She has since been suspended from her longtime job on “The Heidi and Frank Show” on KLOS 95.5, and has been banned from all LA Fitness facilities nationwide. Since photography and video are prohibited in LA Fitness locker rooms, a police report has also been filed.

Miss Mathers also fails to realize that she represents Playboy, the brand name of adult magazines generally associated as the gold standard of class and taste. Yet her actions were anything but classy and tasteful, now placing Playboy in an awkward position.

This incident should cause any decent woman’s blood to boil. This story is not intended simply to report an inexcusable violation from one human being onto another. This goes deeper. What is seen here is indicative of what women have to endure on a regular basis from each other.

When does it stop?

When will females wake up and realize they have a hard enough time in this world without cutting each other down, competing, and making it that much harder on each other? This is a case where a women does need to be cut down to size for her actions. The woman essentially deemed the “Beauty of 2015” is now the “Beast of 2016.” Her apologies attempt to convey sincerity, when in reality, they are most likely a product of regret for being called out.

A woman went into the gym, trying to better herself, and one of her own violated her in the most abhorrent way imaginable. Women should feel safe around one another, yet this only illustrates that females cannot even trust each other with the most basic privacy.

Mathers claims the Snapchat post was a ‘mistake.’ Let’s assume this is actually the case for a moment. Setting that aside, this woman deliberately did the following:

• Ignored privacy rules and human decency, taking a photo of a nude woman who she deemed as disgusting.
• Took a photo of herself expressing disgust, with hand over mouth to punch the point home.
• Added a degrading statement over the unsuspecting nude woman’s photo.

Here we see three premeditated, intentional actions aimed at shaming another female.  So, sorry Miss Mathers, but your regret and your ensuing stance ‘against body shaming’ are disingenuous.

You, ma’am, are the perfect example of why females are hesitant to trust their own. Women naturally endure setbacks due to our gender, so it stands to reason that women should be making every effort to support one another.

Now, tell me again why we are worried about transgender bathroom assignments when we have monsters like this woman lurking in our midst?
