“Pirate Party” crash-lands a drone at Angela Merkel’s feet (VIDEO)

At a campaign rally in Dresden for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a mischievous member of the Pirate Party flew and crash landed a drone at the Chancellor’s feet. The Pirate took pictures and surveillance video of Merkel, hovering the robot just feet from her as she smiled. Her defense minister seemed not quite so pleased.
The drone crashed when the operator was approached, questioned and briefly detained by police. The Pirate Party confirmed that the stunt was a protest against the European Union’s use of surveillance drones.
