Pastor Pulls Gun & Stops Robbery!

EVANSVILLE, IN – When he’s not saving souls, Pastor Carl Sanders is saving lives. He says he only wanted a Gatorade when he stopped at the Dollar General, but on this day… he would be summoned to a higher calling.

Sanders entered the store and witnessed a man robbing the store clerk with what appeared to be a gun wrapped in plastic. The thief spotted him, turned, and right at him.

“He was coming at me saying, ‘get on the ground,'” said Sanders. “But I couldn’t see what he had… That’s when I pulled my weapon and say, ‘No, you get on the ground.'”

Sanders then ordered the suspect to get down and not to look at him. “I just told him this is out of love,” said Sanders.
