Two parents are facing child neglect charges after leaving their 4-year-old at home alone so they could terrorize a Wisconsin town in their clown costumes.
Officers in Menasha responded to reports of people in clown masks chasing down vehicles last week.
Video taken by the police officers’ dashcam show an officer confronting two men, ages 20 and 29, according to FOX40.
When the vehicle approaches, the two clowns remain still in a chilling fashion.
The mom, 26, was found parked in a vehicle near the two men dressed as clowns. Police discovered later that the older man and the woman had a 4-year-old child.
“They left this 4-year-old girl home alone while they decided to go out and do their clowning activities,” Menasha Police Chief Tim Styka said, according to WBAY.
Social services have for now taken the child into custody.
The 20-year-old man was not charged with a crime.
