GRAY, LOUISIANA – A 15-year old boy was arrested for posting a Youtube video he made with the “Real Strike” app from his phone. The application take a video from your mobile device and superimposes a picture of a gun over it. The student allegedly recorded his classmates with the harmless application and uploaded the video of him appearing to shoot his friends with an animated gun. The boy is being charged with terrorizing his classmates at H.L. Bourgeois High school.

Terrorizing in Louisiana (RS 14:40.1) is punishable by a maximum of 15 years in prison, with or without hard labor, and up to $15,000 in fines.  Unlawful disruption of the operation of a school (RS 14:40.6) carries a minimum sentence of 1 year in prison and a maximum of 5.  A maximum combined sentence, if convicted, would be 20 years in prison.
