Orlando Terrorist’s Wife Missing: Silence From Media

Where is Noor Zahi Salman, wife of Orlando terrorist, Omar Mateen? And why isn’t the media still covering this?

After the devastating Orlando terrorist attack on June 12th, which took the lives of 49 innocent Americans and injured many more, it was revealed that Noor Zahi Salman possibly played a role in the attack.

According the The Guardian:

Media reports also suggested that Salman was with her husband when he bought ammunition and a holster. She allegedly told the FBI that she once drove him to Pulse, nearly a two-hour drive from their home in Fort Pierce, Florida, because he wanted to scope it out.

Maine Senator Angus King, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, told CNN that Salman was being interviewed by the FBI:

A google search of Salman’s name reveals little coverage of her or her whereabouts since June 16th. Coupled with Attoney General Loretta Lynch’s statement during a June 20th press conference where she stated they were unaware of her location, this proves to be a real conundrum.

Where is Noor Zahi Salman and what role did she play in the Orlando terrorist attack?

It is typical that the media would brush this situation under the rug. But a woman who texted, “I love you” to the attacker during the rampage and who had possible foreknowledge of the event without notifying authorities should be investigated to the fullest extent. The public deserves to know what is going on, after all, this was the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11.

This situation draws many parallels to Katharine Russell, wife of Boston Marathon Bomber, Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Russell, like Salman, is said to have had foreknowledge of the terrorist attack, googling prior to the attacks “wife of mujahideen” and  “rewards for wife of mujahideen.” But as of today, she has had no charges pressed against her and has been mostly untouched by the media since the 2013 attack.

Is this political correctness run a muck? Has the role of Salman been minimized from the public due to the radical Islamic nature of the attack? Regardless of why, the media and the US Government has dropped the ball by not knowing her whereabouts nor keeping the public informed about this serious issue.
