Beloved talk show host Oprah Winfrey in a conversation with David Rubenstein seems to suggest that she is rethinking her chances at becoming President of the United States following the election of businessman Donald Trump.
The conversation between Winfrey and Rubenstein took place on the season two premier of “The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations.”
TRANSCRIPT:
RUBENSTEIN: Well have you ever thought that given the popularity you have, we haven’t broken the glass ceiling yet for women, that you could actually run for President and actually be elected?
WINFREY: I actually never thought that that was… I never considered the question. Even a possibility. I just thought ‘Oh! Oh!’
RUBENSTEIN: Right, because it’s clear that you don’t need government experience to be elected President of the United States.
WINFREY: That’s what I thought! Oh gee… I don’t have the experience, I don’t know enough,… now I’m thinking… ‘Oh…?!’
