Officer Darren Wilson appeared on ABC News with George Stephanopolous to discuss the shooting death of Mike Brown. Wilson describes how he was attacked by Brown on the street and what he believes he had to do in order to protect himself.
Wilson explains that Brown had attempted to grab his gun, and was trying to defend himself from a man he described as enormous. The officer reveals in the interview that it was the first time that he had to shoot his gun. Brown was relentlessly pursuing him, and Wilson argues that it wouldn’t matter the race of the person who attacked him, he had to shoot in order to save his own life.
