Obamacare Website Preparing To Go Offline Frequently (VIDEO)

Failures of Central Planning

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Healthcare.gov site will soon be taken offline frequently as President Barack Obama‘s technology team is attempting to fix the site. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) said in an interview with ABC news yesterday that Obamacare fails because, “Government is inherently inept and doesn’t operate on a profit method.”

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) is releasing documents related to enrollment figures for the program today. The documents suggest that the paper application process is not helping things move forward, despite the administration’s claims to the contrary. The documents reveal that, “Navigators are seeing people very frustrated and walking away, so they are turning to paper applications to protect their reputations as people in the communities who can help, even though paper applications will not have a quicker result necessarily.”

Ten senate Democrats are calling for delays on penalties, possibly due to fear of their reelection campaigns coming up in the new year.

Senate Democrat Mary Landrieu (D-LA) has proposed legislation that would attempt to keep the president’s word on people being able to keep their health insurance. Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) reportedly told the White House Chief of Staff that the president should shut the website down temporarily until it’s actually functional.
