Most people claim that modern day politics couldn’t sink any lower. People believe that negative campaigning and mud slinging have put reason and good taste on the back burner in favor of personal jabs and disgusting rhetoric. But Reason Magazine has a great video out that will turn that misconception on its head!

In the election of 1800, Thomas Jefferson accused John Adams being a bald, blind, crippled, toothless man who wanted to start a war with France! And Adams had some choice words for Jefferson himself!
