NARAL Pro-Choice America gloated over the Democrats’ nomination of Hillary Clinton for president Thursday night, referring to Clinton as the “most unapologetic champion” of abortion ever nominated.
“Hillary Clinton made history as the strongest, most unapologetic champion of reproductive rights ever nominated for president of the United States,” the pro-abortion lobby wrote in a fundraising email blast following Clinton’s speech.
Clinton has promised to fight on behalf of Planned Parenthood, an organization exposed for dealing in fetuses, and to repeal the Hyde amendment, which bans the use of taxpayer dollars to fund abortions.
“Other candidates have quietly supported abortion rights,” the NARAL email continued. “Not Hillary. She put choice front and center.” (RELATED: Abortion Queen Calls Donald Trump’s Pro-Life Stance ‘Disturbing’)
The crowd roared with approval Thursday when Clinton promised to “protect” a mother’s “right” to end the life of her unborn child, although she clearly avoided the term “abortion.”
“If you believe we should expand Social Security and protect a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions, join us!” Clinton said.
NARAL President Ilyse Hogue used her opportunity to speak on the DNC stage Wednesday to brag about aborting her first child, and described her love for two more children she opted to let live.
