Mom Kicked Out Of Restaurant For Changing Dirty Diaper At Table

A woman was kicked out of a restaurant in Spring, Texas after she changed her baby’s dirty diaper at her table.

Miranda Sowers was eating with her family at Brother’s Pizza when she went to the bathroom to change her baby’s diaper. Realizing there was no changing table, Sowers returned to the table and began to change the child’s soiled diaper on the chair next to her table. She reportedly didn’t want to go to the car because she would have had to take her family with her. “I thought you know what I’ve got my own changing pad, she’s tiny, she fits right here on the chair.” she said to KENS 5. “So I laid her down quickly and quietly changed her diaper.”

The employee who witnessed the change reported that it was not quick, or quiet. “How would you feel,” she asked. “You’re sitting there eating. I don’t want to lose all these other customers because they see a dirty diaper.”

Other customers reportedly started complaining about the smell and the view of feces while they were eating. The restaurant manager brought out the food in “to go” containers and asked Sowers and her family to leave.

“As soon as you start opening the diaper, people start complaining about the smell of the diaper,” said the manager. “Last thing I want is a customer throwing up.”

Sowers filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against the restaurant but the company is standing by their decision.
