Melania Trump Wears Gucci “Pussy-Bow” Blouse to Debate

by Josh Guckert

At Sunday night’s presidential debate, one of the hottest topics was the revelation of a recording wherein Donald Trump remarked that celebrities like himself can do anything to women that they so choose, including “grab[bing] them” in a particular nether-region.

Despite the explosiveness of this audio and video, the Republican’s wife, Melania Trump, ironically wore a pink “pussy-bow silk crepe de chine” blouse made by Gucci. Undoubtedly, the campaign likely spends little time examining the particulars of Mrs. Trump’s wardrobe, but after Sunday, this could very well change.

Hillary Clinton seized upon Trump’s prior statements during the debate, stating that it shows his character and lack of respect for women. On the other hand, the billionaire businessman suggested that this was mere “locker room talk” that he regrets and does not act upon. He contrasted this with Bill Clinton, who has been accused of making unwanted sexual advances by multiple women. Trump held a press conference prior to the debate with a few of these women and make allusions to them during the back-and-forth with Mrs. Clinton.

Most have suggested that the “smoking gun” tape will be enough to end his campaign, and many Republicans have used it as an excuse to distance themselves from the presidential nominee. That remains to be seen, but nonetheless, it appears that Trump and his staff will need to be very careful with everything from the candidate’s language to even his wife’s attire.
